Getting started

Create your first model

From an empty account to a downloadable BIM model in three steps.

1. Create an account

Go to the sign-up page and create an account with your work email. You can also sign in with an existing account provider if one is offered on the login page. Once verified, you're taken straight to your dashboard.

2. Start a new project

  1. Click New model in the top navigation bar.
  2. Upload one or more floor plan drawings (see Uploading & scaling drawings).
  3. Optionally upload elevation drawings for the same building.
  4. Set the scale for each drawing so distances and heights come out correct.
  5. Optionally check Make Manual Edits if you want to review and fix the detected walls, doors and windows in the 2D editor before the BIM is finalized, rather than generating it fully automatically.
  6. Click Generate BIM to create a model from your drawings.
Drawing quality
Cleaner, higher-resolution drawings produce more accurate results, but scanned or lower-quality drawings work too — you can always correct individual elements afterwards in the 2D editor.

3. Review, edit and download

Once generation finishes, you land in the project workspace where you can:

  1. Preview the generated model in the 3D viewer.
  2. Switch to the 2D editor to fix or refine walls, doors, windows and other elements — see Editor tools & shortcuts.
  3. Add more floors or elevation drawings at any time from the left sidebar.
  4. Download the finished model — see Exporting your model.

Every model you generate is saved to your account and listed under My models, so you can come back and continue editing later.
